COVID-19: Eighty-six arrested in the last 24 hrs

Fifty-four people were arrested over the last 24-hours for breaching health restrictions while 32 people were apprehended for curfew breaches.
Acting Comissioner of Police, Rusiate Tudravu said the Western Division recorded 25 cases whereby eleven people breached the curfew orders while 14 not complying with the Health restrictions.
“Of the 40 cases filed in the Southern Division, 15 people were found to have breached the curfew orders while 25 cases were recorded for breaching the health restrictions,” A/CP Tudravu said.
“The Eastern Division recorded 13 cases including six cases for curfew breach and seven people were found not complying with the health restrictions,” he said.
“Of the eight cases recorded in the Northern Division, no one was found to have breached the curfew orders.”
