The Republic of Fiji Military Forces women’s 15s players were reminded that living a disciplined life can take them to greater heights.

Fiji President, Ratu Wiliame Katonivere, while receiving the team’s itatau at State House in Suva yesterday, told the players said they were not only representing the RFMF but the country as a whole.

He wished the team well on their journey to the first-ever women’s International Defence Rugby Championship in Auckland, New Zealand.

He thanked the team and the players for their hard work and reminded them that discipline was the most vital aspect of a person’s lifestyle.

“Living a disciplined life and adhering to good advice will take you far. You must take pride but also be mindful of the jersey you are donning,” he said.

“You are the chosen warriors to wear that jersey among the many who tried out for the team.

“When you run onto the field, know that we are all behind you, supporting you in your games.

“Enjoy your games and seize the moment because this moment will not come back.”

The team is in pool B with Australia and United Kingdom.

The tournament’s games are sequenced to occur throughout the women’s Rugby World Cup pool phase.

They will play against Australia on October 7 and face the United Kingdom on October 14.

The team will depart Fiji for New Zealand on October 3.
